Rhapsody of the Seas

A member of the Royal Caribbean International, this graceful, 915.3-foot all-white cruise ship presents an enviable choice for discerning travellers. Rhapsody of the Seas combines tasteful accommodation with a medley of health, lifestyle and entertainment options and extensive onboard conferencing facilities.

Rhapsody of the Seas visits more than a hundred ports of call in stunningly diverse locations, from the pristine landscapes of Alaska and Canada/New England to historic Europe and the lush shores of Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Bermuda, and the Bahamas.

Health enthusiasts have a wealth of exercise facilities at their disposal, including rock-climbing wall, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a solarium, luxurious day spa and fitness centre. Rhapsody of the Seas does provide ample open-air walking space, though sun-lounging guests and avid strollers tend to frequent the ship’s outdoor areas.

Those lured by the sound of shuffling chips may be more beguiled by Casino Royale, decorated with a range of electrostatic art. Alternatively, there’s Royal Caribbean International’s trademark Viking Crown Lounge and nightclub.

The ship’s interior adheres to an elegantly simple Scandinavian décor with refreshing splashes of colour. A wealth of energetic art features in Rhapsody of the Seas’ public spaces, while light wood surfaces and potted plants create a wonderfully open and relaxed atmosphere.

Entertainment

The Shall We Dance Lounge hosts cabaret, comedy and live music for dancing, while the Broadway Melodies Theatre is the primary stage for musical performances. A warning to shy and retiring types, however: the atmosphere is energised throughout the ship, (music plays outdoors on the pool deck, in elevators and hallways), so you may be at risk of feeling desperate for tranquil surrounds!

Dining

Guests seeking a formal dining setting venture to the sophisticated Edelweiss Dining Room, occupying two levels. The solarium features a casual hamburger and hot dog grill counter, while the Windjammer Café offers passengers a modern atmosphere with a standard self-serve buffet and transforms into a restaurant at night.

Spa and Fitness

Rhapsody of the Seas' two-deck day spa and fitness centre features a sauna and massage parlour and a gym fitted with enormous windows with stunning ocean views. Guests have an array of deluxe treatments on offer, including warm detoxifying body wraps, facials, acupuncture and specialised hair treatments.

Family and Children

The Adventure Ocean offers a host of activities for kids between the ages of three and 11, including story time, face-painting, games and theatre, backstage tours, sports, kite- and mask-making. The Teen Centre hosts scavenger hunts and pizza parties, and teen-only venues are also available.
