APT - Europe River Cruising
Away from busy highways, the rivers of Europe thread intimately through beautiful and historic landscapes. This is quite possibly the most leisurely and convenient way to travel. Join APT for a departure from the ordinary.
Custom-designed and built in Holland by the world's foremost ship building experts, APT's European river ships signify the evolution of modern river cruising. From the intricate elegance of the interior appointments and the opulence of the suites to the wealth of recreational choice provided in the vessel's public areas, these river ships are truly the finest on Europe's waters.
APT – the Europe River Cruising Experts
As market leaders, APT’s resources, experience, passion, expertise and proven track record ensure that they're the most reliable cruise operator on Europe's waterways.
APT's New and Exclusive Fleet of Eight Ships
Each of APT’s state-of-the-art ships was designed with their valued travellers in mind. The APT operation allows them total control in delivering the standards for which they are famous. And with eight ships cruising in 2011, as well as the ms Amakatarina - Russia's most luxurious river ship - they are able to offer more cruising routes, ships and departures than most other companies.
Partnering AMAWATERWAYS - the World Leaders
APT recognise excellence, so they partner AMAWATERWAYS, the world's foremost Europe river cruise operator, led by President Rudi Schreiner. For more than 15 years, Rudi has been recognised for running Europe's finest river cruises. When the Main-Danube Canal opened in the early 90s, Rudi launched pioneering cruises between Amsterdam and the Black Sea. Today he is often credited with developing the modern river cruise concept.
By combining resources and expertise, APT are able to not only meet, but to exceed your expectations. Others that choose to go it alone just can't match the years of insight, experience and understanding that they possess.
For Your Safety, Convenience and Peace of Mind
In offices throughout Europe, APT staff are on hand waiting to attend to any situation that might arise. These locally-based employees are dedicated to ensuring your holiday runs smoothly. On board, APT has minimised the possibility of their ships being ordered from the water in adverse conditions. They manoeuvre easily around bends and into locks, and because the captain's command room is in the ideal position for control, at the front of the vessel not the rear, APT ships are among the safest of their kind.
Award-winning Excellence
APT introduced Aria Class ships and are delighted that the first of these vessels was voted the Best River Cruise Ship at the Cruise Passenger 2009 Readers' Choice Awards.

The Road Less Travelled is a River
Europe's waterways are the lifeblood of the continent, as they were in the ancient past and as they will be in the future. Unlike oceans, rivers access both mainland and coastal destinations. Unlike roads, rivers weren't designed around settlements. Instead, settlements were built based on where the water flowed. As a result, the places you'll visit during a river cruise boast centuries of history.
Natural and Breathtaking Scenery
Naturally, each river provides nourishment to its surrounds. Hence agriculture thrives, and the scenery is lush and picturesque.
Your Luxurious Floating Five-star Hotel
Close in style, comfort and elegance to a floating five-star hotel, APT’s ships make Europe's attractions come to your doorstep each day. Drifting along the steady waters of such rivers as the Rhine, Main and Danube is a visually stunning experience, providing a European exploration of which people could once only dream.
